Oops, we walked in thinking this was the place that had the three course meal for $10. We didn’t see it on the menu, so we asked our server. Then our server goes “That’s TGIF’s. Do you guys still want to eat here?” Also this is the 200th entry. Yikes, that’s a lot of entries in a short period of time.

- Classic Nachos (Our nachos have beans, queso with a hint of seasoned beef, cheese and jalapenos on every chip. Served with pico de gallo and sour cream.) – We asked for without sourcream. The nachos were simple and we liked how the cheese and beans covered the whole chip. The jalapenos weren’t that hot but added a nice kick to the dish. Though for the price, one would have expected more nachos.

- Classic Fajitas (Marinated steak grilled to perfection! Served sizzling with onions and bell peppers, warm tortillas, guacamole, pico, cheese & sour cream) – Our server forgot to take the sour cream off,. The dish was way way too salty. The beef also was overcooked making it a bit chewy. The tortillas were warm and a little thick as well.

- Rice & Black Beans – I can’t believe you have to pay an extra 1.49 for this to come with your fajitas. The beans were ice cold, otherwise they had good flavoring. The rice was ok as well.

 |
- Jumbo Fried Shrimp (Hand-battered & fried. Served w/homestyle fries, sweet corn on the cob & cocktail sauce.) – I liked how they took the tails and shells off the shrimp making for an easy eat. The fries were soft and soggy. The corn seemed as if it was soaked for too long.

Decor: Chessy Southwest decor. The place was ridiculously loud. The wife and I were seated perhaps two feet across from each other and we could barely hear each other. The service was as expected. Waiter seemed like a nice college or high school kid looking for some extra bucks.
Overall Assessment: ($$, 1/10) – The food was ok, though I can’t get over how bad the fajitas was. Also the wife and I were surprised at the final tab. For roughly the same price, you could have some decent sushi or a decent Washingtonian cheap eat meal. The shrimp and nachos were passable.
