My in-laws decided they wanted to take us out at last notice, hence why we went out twice in one day. Wife and I convinced them to try something other than Chinese. We picked this because of the “Cheap Eats” article in the Washingtonian.

  • Fried Tofu Appetizers – Excellent, chickpea tofu rocks. The accentuating sauce goes well.
  • Cold Egg Noodle Salad – A bit too vinegary for me but otherwise a pretty hearty dish.
  • Mango Catfish – The fish was done really well, cook at right length. The sauce was good as well.
  • Pork with Jackfruit – Kinda bland, the pork was pretty tough.
  • Beef with Papaya – Too be honest, this tasted exactly like the dish above.
  • Chicken with Chili – Really spicy, chicken was a bit dried.

Decor: Really small, looked family owned. Service a bit slow.

Overall Assessment: ($$, 3/10) The portions were a bit small, probably reflective of the price, nothing really jumped out at us other than the fish and tofu.
